Just as we feel the effects of old age so do our pets.  Their needs also change as their bodies begin to slow down and it is important that we, as loving owners, are able to spot early signs of potential health issues early so that we can get them treated at an early stage and keep their quality of life as good as possible for as long as possible.

Our Nurse will provide you with a comprehensive consultation during which she will help you understand and identify any age-related ailments that your pet may be experiencing.

Please note that Nurse Clinics will not provide any veterinary diagnoses. If you have a specific concern, or if a concern arises during the clinic you are recommended to make an appointment to see the vet.

When you book your appointment you will be provided with a health and lifestyle questionnaire for you to fill out about your pet before you come to the clinic.  We also ask that you bring a FRESH urine sample.  Urine samples may be collected in a clean and dry container. Urine collection litter tray beads for cats and collection pots are available to collect from the practice if required.

Our Health Clinic includes:

  • A FREE consultation

    • Advice on diet and nutrition, exercise and mobility and behavioural changes.

    • FREE in-house urine tests

    • FREE Schirmer Tear Test for Dogs - This quick and pain free test measures tear production in your dogs eyes.  This helps us to detect and prevent possible issues such as 'dry eye'.

    • A full nose to tail health check, including teeth and gum check.

  • A Discounted Full Blood Screen (Optional)

    • This optional extra allows us to screen your pets vital organs and can highlight any underlying condition that we cannot detect by visual inspection only.  The Vet or Nurse will call you after the appointment to discuss the blood results and a plan of action if required.  There is a £50 charge (normally £103) for this service.

If you would like to take advantage of this clinic please call the practice on 01733 615447 to book an appointment and receive your pre-appointment Pet Health and Lifestyle Questionnaire.
