Blue green algae isn't actually an algae but it does look like it. In fact it is bacteria that form large clumps which look like algae.

Blue green algae can most commonly be seen in the summer months in canals and reservoirs where there is little flow of water.

Blue green algae poisoning symptoms include:

Diarrhoea

Vomiting

Drooling

Difficulty breathing

Disorientation or confusion

Convulsing or having seizures

If your dog has been in water that you think may be contaminated and is exhibiting any of the symptoms above please do get in contact with us - 01733 615447

This text offers a complete and well-organised overview of the topic. The information is presented progressively and well connected. I reread the text a second time to better absorb the information. It is a good reference point for anyone wanting to explore the topic.
